Increase memory allocation for Funnelback services

Managed by | Updated .

By default the following memory is allocated to the Funnelback services.

Service                 Default memory allocation
Funnelback daemon 128MB
Jetty webserver 384MB
Continuous 300MB
REDIS 32MB

Sometimes it is necessary to increase the memory allocated to a Funnelback service - this will be indicated by errors appearing in the service log files located at $SEARCH_HOME/log and may also result in errors appearing in collection update logs.

The allocated memory of a Funnelback service is controlled by the -Xmx value in the service configuration or (recommended) service template. See Service Configuration

Warning

Any changes to these settings should be noted as they will be reverted during an upgrade and will need to be applied again.
